Taijiquan

Chen style taijiquan is the original form. It has retained all of the martial aspects as well as providing all of the health benefits associated with it. Original style from an authentic lineage is taught by Grandmaster Wang Hai Jun.

He was the first non-Chen family student to be traditionally trained in Chen Village in Henan in modern times. His teacher, Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei, is one of the "Four Golden Tigers" of Chen style Tajiki.

He currently resides outside Manchester, England. He offers classes and workshops world-wide, and has established a following of students in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the United States. He has to his credit the training of many gold medalists, among both his Chinese and non-Chinese students.

Philosophy

Daoist philosophy is an expounded by Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi.

Knowing others is wisdom;
Knowing the self is enlightenment.
Mastering others requires force;
Mastering the self requires strength;
He who knows he has enough is rich.
Perseverance is a sign of will power.
He who stays where he is endures.
To die but not to perish is to be eternally present.
Lao Zi

The man of Dao acts without impediment,
He harms no other being by his actions,
Yet he does not know himself,
To be kind and gentle.
Zhuang Zi

Health

Health is important in order to keep the physical body as a vehicle for cultivation of mind and spirit. Pratising taijiquan will provide many faceted benefits as will a calm mind and an outlook in life that is in harmony with the world and the people in it.

Meditation

Daoists teach all types of meditation. Not just what is conventionally thought of as being meditation – sitting down and trying to forget the world. Meditation is practised sitting, standing and in movement. In fact, it is not anything at all – other than having a state of mind that is aligned to the Dao.
